about
originally a ballad written for detox after a painful breakup christopher experienced. for karmaland, the track was juiced up, made into a beat song with female backing vocals to make it into a pop track.
lyrics
it never meant to be this way
we were the perfect ones but I’m dead today
and when I turn around and see your smiling face
I can feel another broken heart again

please don’t cry
maybe you’ll be mine again

everyone can see but you
but they just watch in silence
there’s nothing they can do
and when you close yourself and take away your hand
you leave behind a broken hearted man

please don’t cry
maybe you’ll be mine again

baby don’t leave me
I can’t live without you
you can’t live without me
no matter what you do
what will I do now?
you built me up for so long
just to rip it all away
just when I was so strong
years together promises swore
are gone in one whisper
just like that you don’t love me anymore

I don’t have anything now
don’t have anyone now
don’t know anything at all
don’t understand how
don’t understand why
don’t believe it don't know will break my fall

except three words I’m longing to hear
and I know you want to say to me
I know you don’t believe me now
but I can read it in your eyes, it’s plain to see
please don’t ask me how I know 'cos I can’t say
I just feel inside you’ll be back again someday

please don’t cry
maybe you’ll be mine again
we’ve come so far
our love shouldn’t have to be so hard
please don’t cry
'cos with a little time and with a little luck
maybe you'll be mine
or maybe I just like to think that way
